Counter Tops - Time to Replace Before Selling

If your counter tops are chipped, stained, cracked, burned or just unsightly, you might want to replace the tops before putting your house on the market. New counter tops are less expensive than buying all new cupboards. If you can afford both - wow. If not, the counter top is the most practical change. If needed, change the sink and faucet as well. The impact is huge.
The Kitchen Blog site gives the pros and cons of each type of surface. I think, when money is an issue, look at laminate. There are wonderful laminate counter tops available. Okay, I have a caveat. Please avoid buying laminate that is supposed to look like butcher block wood. No one is fooled and I can bet that the laminate clashes with your cupboards.
Updates will let you counter for top dollar.
